Depression

My hopes are dashed against the rocks of grim reality,
My wings are smashed like an angel who never again will fly,
My dreams are drowned by the overwhelming waves of normality,
My life lies like death upon the cold and sodden shore,
My thoughts are screaming to you: “Set me free!!”
But they are lost in the cacophony of time.
My future is fragmented by the endless gusts of sanity,
My happiness is helpless in the dungeon of the prison of my mind.
